‘Design Icon: Fonts’ teaches you to recognize iconic fonts (or typefaces) that you see every day, but perhaps don’t notice. ‘Design Icon: Fonts’ turns learning into a game and gets you recognizing fonts in no time.
This game is best for people new to fontspotting. We’ve chosen 20 of the most iconic fonts to get you started. By showing key letters, short phrases, numbers and upper and lower case examples, you’ll soon be able to spot fonts in the field. In addition, key letters are highlighted (in a lovely red) that are either distinctive or help you tell similar fonts apart.
You’ll quickly learn to recognize the classics yet it will take many hours of play to get a perfect score. So if you’re looking for a fun way to brush up on your design spotting skills or want a deep dive into our visual culture, Design Icon: Fonts is the answer.
